Our Journey
Founded in 2014.
In 2014, Shahnee purchased Authentix with the vision of introducing professional closed-system colon hydrotherapy to the Canberra region. After completing advanced training, she became the first practitioner to offer this specialised service locally.
Today, Authentix Colonic & Wellness Clinic offers a thoughtfully considered range of evidence-informed wellness and aesthetic services, including closed-system colon hydrotherapy, infrared sauna therapy, IV drip vitamin infusions, cosmetic injectables, skin treatments and beauty therapies.
Every service and retail product has been introduced with purpose, only once Shahnee was confident it reflected the same high standards of care on which Authentix was founded and complemented its holistic approach.
Through all of that growth, the founding philosophy hasn't changed.
Authentix focuses on honest conversations about what treatment is appropriate for each person. If something isn't right for you, we say so.
Meet The Founder
Shahnee.
With more than 20 years' experience in the beauty and wellness industry, Shahnee founded Authentix on one simple belief: true wellbeing begins from within.
While working as a beauty therapist in Melbourne, Shahnee experienced the benefits of regular closed-system colon hydrotherapy firsthand. Returning to Canberra, she was disappointed to find the treatment unavailable. Years of treating clients' skin had also taught her that lasting beauty is often influenced by internal health, inspiring her to create a clinic that cared for both.
Driven by a passion for education and excellence, Shahnee later became a certified international instructor in closed-system colon hydrotherapy.
Through the Authentix Retreat & Colonic Training Institute of Australia (ARCTIA), she now trains future practitioners, helping to uphold the profession's highest standards.

Education Arm
ARCTIA — Colonic practitioner training.
Beyond the clinic, education has always been an important part of the Authentix vision.
Building on more than a decade of clinical experience, we established the Authentix Retreat & Colonic Training Institute of Australia (ARCTIA)—a purpose-built retreat, surrounded by fresh mountain air in a peaceful rural setting — giving students the space to step away from everyday life and fully immerse themselves in learning, growth, and personal transformation. The tranquil environment encourages focus, confidence and personal growth while students develop practical, hands-on clinical skills.
The course is a 6-day, 6-night immersive course for a maximum of 6 students. Every ARCTIA course is personally delivered by the founder. Her direct involvement ensures every student receives expert clinical guidance, personalised feedback and consistent, high-quality training throughout the course.
-Advanced injectable treatments and IV vitamin drips are medical procedures performed by a Registered Nurse, who practices in accordance with AHPRA requirements and all applicable professional and regulatory standards.
-Colon hydrotherapy, infrared sauna and other wellness therapies offered at Authentix are complementary services designed to support overall wellbeing. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent medical conditions and should not be considered a substitute for professional medical advice. -Our Professional skin lightening system is designed to reduce excess pigmentation and restore the skin to its natural tone—it is not intended to lighten the skin beyond its natural biological potential. Results vary depending on genetics, skin type and the cause of the pigmentation. The treatment aims to improve uneven pigmentation and promote a more even, balanced skin tone.
