Before & after your wax
Before your appointment
Allow at least 5 mm of hair growth before your appointment—typically around two weeks after your last shave or trim.
Gently exfoliate the treatment area 24 hours before your appointment to help reduce ingrown hairs and remove dead skin, allowing trapped hairs to be more easily waxed.
Avoid applying moisturiser, body oil or sunscreen to the treatment area on the day of your appointment.
Avoid tanning, sunbeds and self-tanning products for 48 hours before your waxing appointment.
After your wax
Avoid heat, sun exposure and tight clothing for 24 hours after waxing. This includes hot baths, saunas and exercise, as heat and sweat can increase the risk of skin irritation and ingrown hairs.
Begin gently exfoliating waxed areas 72 hours after your appointment to help prevent ingrown hairs. Exfoliate 3–4 times per week and always moisturise afterwards.
Avoid spray tans, self-tanning products and swimming pools for 48 hours after waxing, as freshly waxed skin may be more sensitive to chemicals and irritation.
