The Treatment

Collagen induction therapy.

Micro needling is a procedure in which a device containing fine, sterile needles creates controlled micro-channels in the surface of the skin. This controlled injury triggers the body's natural wound-healing response — stimulating collagen and elastin production below the dermis. As the skin repairs, its structure improves from within.

The treatment addresses a range of skin quality concerns: textural irregularity, uneven tone, acne scarring, enlarged pores, superficial fine lines and overall skin density. Multiple sessions are typically required, with improvements continuing to develop over the weeks following each treatment as collagen remodelling progresses.

Before Treatment

What happens at your consultation.

A consultation is required before any micro-needling appointment at Authentix.

This ensures the procedure is appropriate for your skin and allows for a detailed treatment plan to be developed.

Skin assessment & medical history

Your Nurse will review your full skin history, current skincare routine and relevant medical background. This forms the basis of all planning decisions.

Contraindication check

Certain skin conditions and circumstances mean micro-needling is not appropriate. Active acne, rosacea, recent procedures, certain medications and skin sensitivities are assessed at this stage.

Procedure development

If suitable, your Nurse will develop a treatment plan — covering the number of sessions recommended, spacing between appointments and any skin preparation required beforehand.

First session (if appropriate)

In some cases, your first treatment may take place at the same appointment as the consultation. This is at the discretion of your practitioner based on the assessment outcome.

Recovery & Results

What to expect in your treatment.

Before your session

Avoid retinol, AHAs and BHAs for at least three days prior. Arrive at your appointment with clean, bare skin — no makeup, SPF or active ingredients.

During the session

A topical numbing cream is applied and given time to take full effect before treatment begins. A typical treatment runs approximately 60 minutes. Many clients describe the sensation as mild pressure with some warmth.

After your session

Redness and mild swelling are normal for 24–48 hours. Avoid sun exposure, active skincare products and makeup for the first 24 hours. Skin improvement builds progressively over 4–6 weeks as collagen remodelling takes effect.

-Colon hydrotherapy, infrared sauna and other wellness therapies offered at Authentix are complementary services designed to support overall wellbeing. -Our Professional skin lightening system is designed to reduce excess pigmentation and restore the skin to its natural tone—it is not intended to lighten the skin beyond its natural biological potential. Results vary depending on genetics, skin type and the cause of the pigmentation.
